PRIVACY / UPDATED
Privacy Policy
Examination Field Manual is an independent guide site. There are no accounts, sign-ups, comments or forms, and we never ask for your name, email address or Roblox username. Three outside services handle data when you visit: Cloudflare delivers the pages, Google Analytics measures visits and Adsterra supplies advertising on some pages. A fourth, YouTube, is contacted only if you press play on a guide video.
Hosting
Cloudflare Pages hosts and delivers this site. Every request passes technical information such as your IP address, the requested URL, browser details and the request time to Cloudflare for delivery, security and operational logs. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Analytics
Every page, including the error page, loads Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-8025XFS4V6. It shows us which guides are read and how visitors arrive. Google may process the page address and title, the referring page, browser and device details, approximate location derived from your connection, and interactions recorded by the property’s standard measurement settings. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies such as _ga to tell visits apart.
Our site code sends no names, email addresses, Roblox account details or custom events to Google Analytics. Google processes the data on its own systems under its own retention rules. See how Google Analytics handles data, how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s privacy policy.
Advertising
The home page, the quest and map hubs and every guide carry ads from Adsterra. The About page, this policy and the error page never load an ad. On each page with ads you will find:
- one unit labeled "Advertisement" within the page, after the introduction or key answer: a native ad when the window is wider than 640 pixels, or a 300×250 banner at 640 pixels or narrower;
- one banner within the page in windows at least 768 pixels wide: 728×90 when the content column has room, otherwise 320×50;
- on selected longer guides below 768 pixels, one additional 320×50 banner between sections. Shorter pages show only the first unit. No ad is pinned to the screen or placed in a side rail.
Once loaded, Adsterra and the advertising partners it works with may use cookies or similar identifiers, your IP address, browser and device details, the page you are reading and your interactions with ads to select, deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud. We do not receive the cookies or identifiers Adsterra uses. Selecting an ad takes you to the advertiser’s site, which has its own policy. See the Adsterra privacy policy.
Video
The Underequipped guide shows a walkthrough as a thumbnail saved on our own site. Until you press play or select one of its chapters, your browser sends nothing to YouTube. Pressing play loads the YouTube player from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain, inside the page.
Once the player loads, Google receives your IP address, browser and device details and the address of the page you are on, and the player may store identifiers in your browser to deliver the video, measure playback and prevent abuse. See YouTube’s notes on privacy-enhanced embeds and Google’s privacy policy. The “Watch on YouTube” link and other links to YouTube open YouTube itself instead.
Your choices
The site does not currently offer its own cookie or consent setting, and it does not read Global Privacy Control signals. Analytics and advertising run the same way for every visitor. You can still limit them in your browser:
- install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on;
- block third-party cookies or clear cookies for this site in your browser settings;
- use a content blocker. Every guide remains fully readable without analytics or ads.
What stays on your device
Guide checklists keep your ticks only on the open page. They are not stored, not sent to us and reset when you reload. Links to YouTube, Roblox and the community wikis open those sites only when you follow them. Apart from the click-to-load video player described above, no outside widget is embedded in our pages.
Younger players
We do not ask anyone, of any age, for personal information. The analytics and advertising described above run the same way for every visitor, so younger players should read this policy with a parent or guardian.
Requests and changes
We do not keep a visitor database. Delivery logs are held by Cloudflare, analytics data by Google, and advertising data by Adsterra and its partners. Their linked policies explain how to request access, correction or deletion, or to object. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
This policy covers Examination Field Manual only. When our data practices change, we update the date at the top of this page.
