ABOUT THE GAME

What is Examination?

Examination is a PvE shooter on Roblox, live since July 2022 and now past 50 million visits. Alone or with a squad, you fight through the infected Itagura Nuclear Power Plant: power the generators, deal with Reactor 4 and its Basement valve, get through Sector 2 with a keycard and laptops, then reach Sector 3 and its contraband weapon crates. The Tunnels are a separate route with their own objectives and D-Zero.

Progress runs on badges. The official list has 52 of them, and the challenge badges raise the rank shown on your nametag. Rank opens the researchers’ quests: Tachyon and Manhattan ask for Sergeant or higher, Yuri for Officer and a set of badges. UNDEREQUIPPED unlocks the Special Forces classes, and clearing Yuri’s simulation unlocks the Night Stalker.

GAME UPDATES

What changed lately.

  1. Patch 1.3.96: enemy fixes and PS Extra additions

    The developers fixed invincible Leapers and SIN, most Chimera sticking issues and failed executions, duplicate dogtag pickups, drifting minimap icons, the candy viewmodel and running through Barnacles. PS Extra gains Combat Knife, more morphs and Chimera tools; Carlos and Rodrigo moved within the lobby, and Cerberus Crew now show burns.

  2. Recode remains an update to this game

    The developers say Recode will stay on the current Examination game page. They currently plan no data wipe, but that can change. Early 2027 is a prediction, not a release date; smaller patches will continue while development focuses on Recode and Sector 4.

  3. HALLOWED REACTOR is live: update 1.3.95

    PLUTONIUM HEART: PART 2 — HALLOWS expands Reactor 4, adds three random post-game events and Private Server Extras, and changes enemies, weapons and melee movement. The developers say the limited-time event content lasts until November 20 at 19:00 UTC (November 21, 03:00 in Taipei).

  4. Vorax spawn fix announced

    The developers announced a server shutdown to fix a Vorax spawning bug. The notice gives no revised spawn locations or timers.

  5. First Night Stalker season rollover

    Per the developers’ monthly schedule, the leaderboard resets at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of each month. October 1 is the first reset, and the top 3 hold REGALIA’S CONQUEROR only while they stay on the board.
