Badges that raise your rank
Your rank is the title on your nametag. The official descriptions of 11 badges say they advance it; they are labeled challenge-based. Both community wikis count two more, THE_JUGGERNAUT and GUINEA_PIG, although their official text doesn’t mention rank. MENLONIAN-CONSTABULARY and SOLE_PRACTITIONER say outright that they don’t affect it.

How to check your rank
The official badge text says your rank shows on your nametag. Fandom’s Ranks page adds that other players see the title above your name and that it appears in chat when you use the TRC-44 radio.
Which ranks matter
Two thresholds gate content: Sergeant for Tachyon’s and Manhattan’s quests, and Officer for Yuri’s simulation. Fandom’s Ranks page lists titles from Conscript and Private up through Sergeant, Field Agent, Officer and Lieutenant, but its own editors mark it outdated because new ranks have been added. We don’t copy its badge counts per rank for that reason.
The old TEMPORAL_ANOMALY no longer counts. Its official text says it was deactivated after the Tunnels rework and stopped counting toward rank with the Rolling Steel update. The current TEMPORAL_ANOMALY is a separate badge; see retired badges.
Facility run & story badges
Earned by moving through the facility and its side events. The sector route guide covers the main objectives.

Tasks from the researchers and other NPCs. Yuri’s simulation needs most of the badges on this page: the official EXOTIC-EXONERATION text asks for every badge except FULL_HOUSE, OVEREQUIPPED and LAST-RITES-OF-A-RUINED-KING. On September 18 the developer took SOLE_PRACTITIONER off that list.

Disabled badges drop off the game’s badge list on Roblox, but their records stay online. We matched these 13 to Examination one by one and all are disabled. Fandom also lists NERVE-WRECK, but the ID it gives belongs to another badge, so it isn’t listed.
