Where the Cerberus is and when it spawns
The Cerberus, also called the BTR, is a Rasonian BTR-82A with a heavy turret, a PKT machine gun, a drone launcher and two flamethrowers on the rear of the hull. Miraheze counts it as the fifth boss. It waits in the Vehicle Depot deep in Sector 3, hostile to players only. A cutscene of an injured Rasonian infantryman signals it, roughly 30 seconds after you enter the room.
In the arena it drives in circles around the pillars. When it has you in sight for long enough it slows down, switches on a red spotlight on the turret and swings the turret round, which makes a distinct sound. It takes it one to two seconds to notice a target, less as more players enter the depot, and it remembers where it last saw you and aims there ahead of time. It speeds up when a player gets close, and now and then stops for a U-turn.
Everything here comes from Miraheze’s Cerberus page (last edited October 1, 2026) unless another source is named. Fandom has no page of its own for it. The badge wording is Roblox’s, and no one on this site has fought the vehicle in game.
Cerberus HP by player count
Miraheze gives it 800 HP alone and adds health for each extra player in the server when it spawns, up to 3,360 HP with 19 or 20 players. The third column is our own division by the 80 damage a direct AT-7 hit does (see the next section), so you can see how many rockets the arena has to supply if nobody uses C4.
| Players in server | Cerberus HP | AT-7 hits alone |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 800 | 10 |
| 2 | 960 | 12 |
| 3 | 1,280 | 16 |
| 4 | 1,600 | 20 |
| 5 | 1,760 | 22 |
| 6 | 1,920 | 24 |
| 7 | 2,080 | 26 |
| 8 | 2,240 | 28 |
| 9 | 2,400 | 30 |
| 10 | 2,560 | 32 |
| 11–12 | 2,720 | 34 |
| 13–14 | 2,880 | 36 |
| 15–16 | 3,040 | 38 |
| 17–18 | 3,200 | 40 |
| 19–20 | 3,360 | 42 |
Player counts as listed by Miraheze. The AT-7 column is our arithmetic, not a wiki figure.
What damages the Cerberus
Miraheze says only the AT-7 rocket launcher and C4 can damage it; bullets do nothing.
- AT-7: 80 damage for a direct hit. The blast radius does no damage to the Cerberus. The AT-7 comes from weapon crates around the arena: each has a random timer, only two or three can be open at once, and they open only after the fight starts and close for good once the Cerberus is dead. See the weapon crates guide.
- C4: plant it on the prompt at the back of the hull. Miraheze’s Cerberus page says a detonation deals 240; its C4 page says 160. We can’t tell which is current, so don’t plan a kill around either figure. Placing it takes about as long to go off as on a supply stash (12 seconds there), and the blast kills players within roughly 10 studs. C4 pickup crates sit outside the arena.
The C4 page also says planting is easiest in phase 1: once the Cerberus gains speed in phase 2, getting to its rear gets much harder, and the AT-7 becomes the safer way to finish it.
Phase 1: cannon, machine gun and smoke
Miraheze lists these attacks. Damage figures are per hit on a player.
- Autocannon
- A 30mm 2A72. A direct hit deals 120, and the shell’s splash deals 10–55 inside an 18-stud radius that lingers for 2.2 seconds. 330 rounds a minute, up to 250 studs, 10 seconds to reload, and the spread grows with every consecutive shot.
- Machine gun
- Takes over while the cannon reloads: 70 per hit, bursts from a 66-round belt (each machine-gun kill adds 6 rounds), up to 250 studs. Once it loses sight of you it sprays 5–8 rounds at where you were, then switches to the nearest target, up to twice in a row, three times when it is overwhelmed.
- Runover
- Driving into you deals 20–60 from the front, 25–45 from the sides and 15–30 from behind, more at higher speed.
- Smoke grenades
- Launched when someone is too close. They deal 15 on impact, then 2 every half second inside a 20-stud radius for 6 seconds. 30-second cooldown.
- Headlights
- Stand in front of it, within about 80 studs, and your screen whites out and the camera shakes.
The machine gun’s burst size and reload time scale with how many players are nearby: 16–40 rounds and 4.5 seconds for one to nine players, 24–40 and 4 seconds for ten to fourteen, and 32–48 and 3.5 seconds from fifteen up. The cannon’s ten-second reload is the gap where only the machine gun is firing.
Phase 2 at half health
At 50% of its maximum HP the Cerberus stops for a moment, catches fire and its music changes. Miraheze lists these changes:
- Faster: +60% movement speed and +60% turret rotation speed.
- Smoke grenades come back every 15 seconds instead of 30.
- Machine gun: a 132-round belt, 545 rounds a minute and 30% less spread.
- Drone: every 30 seconds it launches one, with RGB lights and its own sound. It hits for 85 at the point of impact, less the farther you are, and firearms can shoot it down.
- Reinforcements: every 2 minutes two Combat Medics spawn to support it, coming in along the same path the Cerberus took.
- Flamethrowers: if you are behind it, two rear flamethrowers deal rapid damage.
What that means for the rear. The back of the hull is where the C4 goes and also where the flamethrowers point, so a C4 plant in phase 2 means running into the one spot the Cerberus now defends. That is our reading of the two Miraheze pages, not something either one says outright.
When its HP reaches zero it stops and explodes, and the crew can be heard screaming inside for a short time. Miraheze’s lore section says it was modified for hot steam in the smoke, and that it was driven into the depot to load wounded soldiers before the Menlonian ground forces destroyed it.
ROLLING_STEEL and BRAZEN_BULL
Two official Roblox badges involve the Cerberus.
- ROLLING_STEEL: encounter the Cerberus. Fandom places that at the end of Sector 3, so reaching the depot is the requirement.
- BRAZEN_BULL: partake in the destruction of the Cerberus. Roblox’s text doesn’t say what counts. Miraheze says you need at least one AT-7 hit on it for kill credit, and Fandom says one RPG hit is enough. Both wikis agree on one rocket, so you don’t need to land the killing blow. BRAZEN_BULL also advances your rank (rank badges).
Miraheze also records that the BTR model first appeared at spawn in an April Fools update on April 1, 2026, and Fandom’s cut content page says developers once planned to put it next to SIN, then scrapped the idea. For SIN, the other Sector 3 boss, see the SIN section.
